Seer’s Song #NaPoWriMo 1

That lie you told, voice crescendo-ing —
weaving a counterpoint to truth’s melody —
away to mere consequence

For those who used yesterday’s prompt, this is what the Oracle gave me:
“Things have narrowed to a point
and no gorgeous diction can get you out of it.”
–April Bernard

The quotation put me in mind of Former President Bill Clinton and his wagging finger, and a number of nasty lies I told that came out shrill and a bit too loud only to fade into the whimper of apology. I like the idea here, but as so often happens during this rush of writing is raw and needs polish, development and / or other work.
